CHILD AND ADOLESCENT COUNSELING

We understand that everyone’s circumstances are unique and that no two children are alike. We are here to help your child regain equilibrium and a sense of well-being. We help children and adolescents experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We specialize in working with children with ADHD, on the autism spectrum, and children without a diagnosis who may struggle with skills characteristic of the core deficits of autism: impaired communication skills, impaired social interactions, rigid patterns of behaviors and/or restricted interests.

BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS

We offer behavioral coaching and consulting services that utilize ABA-based interventions. ABA (applied behavior analysis ) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior and the application of behavioral principles to everyday situations. A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) works in partnership with you and your family to establish and maintain a safe, structured, and consistent home environment. The implementation of evidence-based strategies has been shown to reduce challenging behaviors and support positive parent-child relationships.

PARENT SUPPORTS

Parenting can be challenging. As parents, we may not always have all the answers and that's okay. Because we love our children, our emotions can effect how we parent and we can lose objectivity in how we handle challenging situations.  Let us help you learn ways to effectively address challenging situations and strategies that can strengthen your relationship with your child.
